Distance Education From IGNOU

Distance education is very helpful for students in a gigantic country like India where the distance between students and their favourite institutions is more than miles. This distance education is a milestone in the education system where the teacher and student are separated geographically and by time.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a national university with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. Named after former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, the university was established in 1985 when the Parliament of India passed the Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985 (IGNOU Act 1985). The courses available for distance education in IGNOU are doctoral programmes, master’s degree programmes, bachelor’s degree programmes, PG diploma Programmes, certificate programmes and diploma programmes.
